Characteristics of a Green Goat or Sheep:
The Year of the Dragon 2012 ended the Mayan Calendar and set us up for a transformation of consciousness that we experienced in the Year of the Snake. We simply cannot blindly live the way we always have, that model no longer resonates with where we are going. And so we slithered into the path of the Green Horse, wildly spirited, free, independent and passionate. 2014 was a time to step into our own light, be our authentic selves, stand up for what we believe in, follow our bliss and engage more fully in moving our lives in a more vibrant direction. The Sheep is the peacemaker of the Chinese Zodiac. We take all we have learned in the past 3 years and bring it home to our hearts. Meditation, Om, harmony in relationships, bringing in the quiet, turning our focus inward and then finding ways of sharing that peace in our communities and our world is the sound of the Sheep in the far off fields of our soul.
The Sheep is adaptable, considerate, compassionate, creative, laissez faire, gentle, sincere, mindful and at her worst is unconventional, vulnerable, sensitive, negative, naïve, gullible, and immature.
Those born between 1 and 3 pm have Sheep as an ascendant quality making them more peaceful, serene, flexible, and cheerful
The Sheep is Yin Earth with a little bit of Fire and Wood, the month of July and the South/ South Western direction in the season of Late Summer.
Health and Personality:
Unlike the Yang Wood of 2014 which is like a big oak tree; rigid, stubborn, bossy, and out spoken, 2015 brings Yin Wood which is like a flower; flexible, yielding, and allowing. Yin Wood loves the Yin Earth of the Sheep as it is the soft Earth that holds it in place, feeds it and fosters growth. Wood conquers Earth which is its money element and since there are multiple Earth element animals in the Zodiac, Wood people have far more chances of manifesting money and property than other people. The most ideal birth time for someone born on the Day of Yin Wood is the Fire Rat – called Most Noble Hour.
People born on the Day of the Yin Wood tend to be more musically inclined, artistic, good at sewing, and working with their hands. Famous Yin Wood artists are Madonna, Nicole Kidman, Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Coco Chanel, and Yves Saint Laurent. Some famous people with significant clashes in their charts in 2015 with Three Earth Penalty are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Julia Roberts, Bill Clinton, Madonna, and Donald Trump. Those with just Sheep or Ox clash are President Obama, Joe Biden, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, and John Kerry.
Yin Wood represents the liver, spinal cord and neck. The Earth element is stomach, immune system, muscles, cells, and pancreas. We must be vigilant about the safety of our neck and back in 2015 as well as recognize the chances for cancer are magnified as well as bone related illnesses like osteoporosis. If you haven’t seen the documentary “Forks over Knives” yet, you really must. If there was ever a year to radically shift your eating habits, this is the year! Adopting a more plant based diet while eliminating meat, dairy and processed foods is truly the path to a more vibrant healthy life. Every major disease is curable through a vegan diet when you combine it with yoga, meditation, and a lifestyle that isn’t choked with stress.
Months to be mindful of are Earth months April, July, October, and January when cancer, stomach, and pancreatic or diabetic, and weight issues are more likely. These are months to cut way back on your intake of carbs.
With no Water, the kidneys may be greatly weakened. Overall supplements to support better health in 2015: Omega 3 Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Vitamin C and E.
World Events – Economy – Business:
The forgiving, comprising, adapting Sheep is far more likely to bring a more peaceful, negotiating, complying year as far as politics and world affairs go. But, keep in mind that the Yin Wood needs Water and the Sheep is Yin Earth with Wood and Fire which offers no direct nourishment so this is much like a desert situation. If any conflict were to erupt it would be in the desert-like conditions of the Middle East especially with the growing threat of ISIS and Al Qaida. In fact the last Sheep years of 1991 and 2003 were the last two significant Gulf Wars.
The last Wood Sheep of 1955 marked many treaties including: The Baghdad Pact of Mutual Cooperation, West Germany joined NATO, the Warsaw Pact was formed, and the Burma-Japan peace treaty was signed.
The Sheep or Goat rules the month of July when there is still plenty of warmth from summer’s Fire to nurture its Earthy quality. And the hidden elements of Fire and Wood within the Sheep further enhance it making this the strongest Earth animal of the Chinese Zodiac (Other Earth animals are Ox, Dog, and Dragon). So because of Earth’s strength the following industries will strengthen and grow: Energy, air travel, sports, exercise, entertainment, restaurants, and the European and US economies will continue to strengthen. Wood is the conquering element for Metal so those industries do well too: Banking, machinery, tech companies, engineering, and cars. The Wood industry obviously thrives: Publishing, magazines, publishing, environment, paper, and logging. Fire fuels Earth so those businesses will do well: Stocks, finances, energy, power, entertainment etc. But the industries that struggle is Earth because of steep competition: Construction, property, agriculture, insurance, and pharmaceuticals.
Weather is certainly a component to analyze too. Again, without Water in 2015 we will see incredible drought like conditions igniting more forest fires, hurricanes typhoons, and also earth related events like earthquakes, landslides, and avalanches.
